Integrated Development Plan of Montana Municipality

Participation in the development of the graphic and illustrative materials for the Integrated Development Plan of Montana Municipality for the 2021–2027 period. Thematic diagrams were developed presenting the spatial distribution of the impact zones, the main territorial characteristics and the municipality's development potential. A Geographic Information System (GIS) was used in preparing the diagrams for data processing and spatial visualisation.

As part of the work on the Integrated Development Plan, diagrams were developed presenting various aspects of the spatial development of Montana Municipality. As an example of the materials developed, one diagram presents the impact zones and the location of major cultural-historical assets and territories with potential for developing the cultural and tourism resource. Groups of cultural-historical assets are shown in the areas of Smolyanovtsi, Doktor Yosifovo and Virove, Gorna and Dolna Veritsa, Montana and Sumer, including Roman and ancient sites, ancient settlements, fortresses, and the ancient city of "Castra ad Montanesium". For the town of Montana, the zone of impact with public functions, the predominantly social-character zone, and the zone with economic development potential are visualised. Territories related to the valorisation and development of cultural assets and tourism are also presented.

The diagrams developed provide a clear and legible spatial presentation of the impact zones, cultural-historical resources, and territories with development potential in Montana Municipality. They support the visual understanding of the territory's spatial interrelations and potential and contribute to the overall graphic presentation of the Integrated Development Plan.
